0.36°/0.72° 5-Phase Stepper Motor and Driver Package - CVK Series

The CVK Series features one of the smallest, standard microstepping drivers combined with a 0.36°/0.72° 5-phase high-torque stepper motor for the optimum motor performance. Since the driver size, installation and I/O connectors are the same, it is easy to evaluate the motor based on the application requirements. The 0.36°/0.72° 5-phase CVK Series features higher speed and increased positional accuracy and with the fully digitally controlled microstepping driver, all CVK Series motors feature low vibration throughout the entire speed range.

The CVK Series is also available with a 1.8° 2-phase stepper motor and driver packages that feature the highest motor torque in the low speed range.

Three frame sizes are available; 1.10 in. (28 mm), 1.65 in. (42 mm), and 2.36 in. (60 mm).

Higher Torque Across all Speed Ranges

Through revisions to the motor winding design and a high-efficiency driver circuit design, the performance of the 0.36°/0.72° 5-phase stepper motors has been brought to their full potential, resulting in significant increases in torque in all speed ranges. Torque in the 500 r/min range has increased by 85% compared to conventional products.

The maximum holding torque in the low-speed range is achieved with the 1.8° stepper motor and driver packages through the use of a high motor current design and specification. The speed range has increase considerably with the 0.36°/0.72° packages.

Common Driver Size Offers Flexibility in Motor Performance

The size, installation and I/O connectors for the CVK Series 1.8° and 0.36°/0.72° stepper motor and driver packages are the same. Because of this, it is easy to evaluate and select the proper package for your specific application.

Resolution Setting

It is easy to try 0.72° or 0.36° motor and driver without any changes to your 1.8° pulse input as the driver has a step resolution switch to allow for setting of input to output resolution. Simply choose a 0.36° or 0.72° package (driver mounting is the same) and use the step angle setting switch to match the existing input pulses to the desired output speed and position. There is no software or control module required.

Motor Cables

This three-piece coupling adopts an aluminum alloy hub and a resin spider. The simple construction ensures that the high torque generated by a gear motor can be transmitted reliably. The proper elasticity of the spider suppresses motor vibration.

Controllers

Controllers are devices that output pulse signals needed to operate a stepper motor. Controllers let you make various settings to control your motor and also permit connection with a host programmable controller and sensors or PC. Select a controller that best suits your system.

Connection CableAs an accessory for DC input drivers, lead wires with a connector are available. These lead wires allow for easy connection of the motor, power supply and input/output signals. The connection cable set includes three connection cables (for motor, power supply and input/output signals).
