Product Lead Time can be found in the Online Product Catalog listed under Specifications as "Available to Ship". For lead time on larger quantities please contact your local sales office.

For products available to ship same day, orders must be received no later than 12pm PST. Orders received after 12pm PST or on weekends / holidays will be processed the next business day.

NOTE: Holidays in both the U.S. and Japan may affect lead times. All lead times are quoted based specific part number and quantity. Lead time for larger quantities will vary. AC Motor Technology

AC Induction motors are one of the simplest and easiest motion control systems for automation.  However, unlike its simple theory, the applied technologies are diversified that lead developing different types of induction motors such as Reversible motors, Electro-Magnetic Brake motors, Clutch & Brake motors, Synchronous motors, Low-Speed Synchronous motors, Water-tight motors, and Torque motors.  In this course you will learn the theory and characteristics of each type of motors and a lot of actual application samples to make your automation as simple and cost effective as possible.

Speed Control System

Speed control systems are ideal for applications that require the precise control of speed. Speed control systems allow you to easily set and adjust the speed of a motor. The control system consists of a speed feedback system, a motor, a driver (or speed control pack) and a speed setting device. The motor for the speed control system can be either a highly efficient brushless motor or an AC motor.
In this course you will learn the theory of the AC speed control and DC brushless speed control system, characteristics, and applications.

Positioning Control System -Basic

Position control is a must when precisely positioning a load. Sizing Motors

Using improper size motor not only costs extra expense, but also results into a poor performance such as excess vibration or heat generation.  Knowing the relationship between the mechanical factors and inertia, speed, and torque requirement gives you the design tips to optimize the motor performance for the machine as well as it enables you to select proper size of motors.   In this course you will learn the basic equations and steps of sizing the AC motors, the Brushless speed control motors and the Stepping motors.

The AlphaStep is a revolutionary hybrid stepping motor and driver package which eliminates missed steps. The AlphaStep uses a built-in feedback device that constantly monitors the motor shaft position to detect and correct for loss of synchronism.  In this course you will learn the theory of Closed Loop systems, characteristics and applications.

The RK Series incorporates new functions and state-of-the-art technologies to achieve the ultimate utility of a control motor. The series offers various types including the standard type, IP65 rated motor type and three geared types. Three frame sizes of 1.65 in. (42 mm), 2.36 in. (60 mm) and 3.35 in. (85 mm) [3.54in. (90 mm)] are available. The wide-ranging motor variations and affordable price make the RK Series a perfect solution for your various applications. In this course you will learn Theory of 5 Phase motors, System Characteristics and Applications.

The CRK Series is a motor/driver unit combining a high-performance, 5-phase stepping motor with a compact, low-vibration micro stepping driver offering the Smooth Drive Function. Four frame sizes of 0.79 in. (20 mm), 1.10 in. (28mm), 1.65 in. (42 mm) and 2.36 in. (60 mm) are available and there are models fitted with various gearheads. In this course you will learn Theory of 5 Phase motors, System Characteristics and Typical Applications. 

 

RBK/CMK series

The RBK Series combines a 2-phase stepping motor with a DC input microstep driver. The RBK Series is available with either a standard, high-torque, terminal box or PL geared 2-phase stepping motor. Models equipped with an encoder are also available. The RBK Series includes Oriental Motor's proprietary Smooth Drive Function, to easily achieve low-vibration operation. In this course you will learn Theory of the 2 phase microstep and the four technologies of vibration reduction.

The CMK Series is a motor and driver package consisting of a 2-phase stepping motor and one of the smallest, lightest 24 VDC input micro stepping drivers in the industry, allowing for a reduction in size and vibration in your equipment. High-torque, high-resolution, geared and standard type motors available. Models equipped with an encoder are also available. Five frame sizes are available; 1.10 in. (28 mm), 1.38 in. (35 mm), 1.65 in. (42 mm), 1.97 in. (50 mm) and 2.22 in. (56.4 mm) [2.36 in. (60 mm)].
In this course you will the Theory of the 2 phase microstep and the technology of vibration reduction.

 

EMP series

The EMP400 Series controllers allow easy programming using simple commands. The dual axis model provides coordinated moves via linear interpolation. Various motion profiles can be achieved by using up to 32 sequence programs. 1 program can be dedicated as a STARTUP program. In this course you will learn How the controller works, Connections, and Basic Programming.

The BX Series brushless motor and driver packages offer high performance and high function. The full lineup covers a wide output range from 1/25 HP (30 W) up to 1/2 HP (400 W). The BLU Series consists of models with an output rating of 1/38, 1/19 or 1/8 HP (20, 40 or 90 W), all combining an energy-saving, slim, compact brushless motor with a panel-installation type driver. Choose a parallel shaft gearhead or a hollow shaft flat gearhead that saves installation space in your equipment.
